Quick Links: Mississippi River Saves Country From Grains

Today, several barges ran into trouble on the flooded Mississippi River, with some sinking and others getting pinned against bridges in the high water (click here for full story).

Hatfield said the barges were carrying dry cargo – either grain, beans or corn, so there’s no concern about pollution from the sunken barge.

No concern about pollution! I beg to differ! That stuff is toxic.

“It’s just feeding the fish,” she said.

Yeah, ’cause that’s what they’re supposed to be eating…
